Shawl/wrap made for a special commission.... on its way to the USA!

Handwoven Shawl/Wrap in vibrant bright colours of handspun & hand dyed Merino wool & silk, rare breed Devon Closewool, Tussah Silk and Shantung silk with a warp of various colours of pure Shetland wool, Tussah silk & Merino wool.

Measurements : approx 50cm x 2.50cm with 12cm hand knotted fringe.

Hand wash only in hand hot water with gentle soap or detergent, or use a non rinse wool washing liquid.

Place the woolly item into the hot soapy water and leave to soak 15 to 20 minutes without agitation. Lift out, gently squeeze out excess water and place into similar temperature warm rinse water as often as needed. Do not agitate or rub, to avoid felting. Use hot or warm water to avoid ‘shocking’ the wool, it may shrink if placed from hot water into cold!

Squeeze gently to remove the excess water, or put in a pillowcase and run the gentle spin cycle in your washing machine. Not the rinse cycle as it’s too vigorous! Even the wool cycle can felt and shrink pure wool pieces.

Hang on a rail or dry flat, away from direct heat. Steam or steam iron as required.

It’s worth taking special care of your precious woollen items, as they will last a long time.

Postage :

I send your order with Royal Mail first class post with proof of postage, or signed for, whichever you prefer.... please let me know if you would like DHL or courier delivery at an extra cost.
